hello
Hello every body. I just bought my first 2017 F250 Super Duty Sunday 9/22/24 and need to do a couple things to her. I figured this would be a good place with a good source information. I need to install backup camera. Truck has 4" screen and I want to upgrade that as well. need lots of info and guidance.

I believe the Backup camera comes in the tailgate OEM. Most likely that's a different model from what you own of programming too.
Maybe you can find an aftermarket instal at a shop that specializes in that stuff ?

The back up camera wasn't mandated until 2018. Ford did agree to have an aftermarket camera installed by a 3rd party at one of their dealerships to get the original owner to buy the truck. It was one of those mounted to the tag ones that shows up in the review mirror but the mirror has quit working. I found a thread on here that @h20camperposted with pdf instructions for the install and a parts list. The only part he left out was the mounting bracket for the camera and @966hydro posted the part number for it on the thread. I ordered the following parts to install a factory one into the tailgate latch they came today but the latch has damage and got shipped the wrong camera so I got to wait another week for the replacements.
Rear Camera: HC3Z-19G490-V
Handle: HC3Z-9943400-BB (note that this handle part # only has provisions for the camera. Not key lock, light,etc).
Wiring Harness: HC3Z-14A412-D
Wiring Harness: HC3Z-14A412-AA
Bracket to mount camera JC3Z-19H421-A
Rear Camera: HC3Z-19G490-V
