Just swapped the dead OE one for a Pioneer TSA2000LD2. Ran about $120 shipped. Pull the trim, not hard just take time and pull the OE box, four fasteners.
There is a bolt retaining the stock sub, filling the hole with some sort of epoxy is smart to not loose air pressure. I went to Ace and grabbed some plastic stuff and filled it. Dropped the new ghetto blaster in after I wired it up. Being dual 2ohm I set it to 4ohm to match OE amplifier.
Tossed the guy back in and seems fine with the aftermarket HU. Do not expect massive bass from a 70w roughly amplifier or an 8" sub. It fills the bottom end nicely and is adequate for my needs.
