Likely the plastic bushings inside the gearbox have disintegrated.. that is a commn failure on these. You can buy those online for a few bucks and rebuild the gearbox or you could just replace the whole motor/gearbox assembly, it's almost the same amount of work either way. There are videos for how this is done online.

Yes. Replacing the gear in the window motor is an easy and cheap repair.

There aren’t any bushings in my ‘87 Bronco window motor and since the OP didn’t mention year I wouldn’t assume that is the right part.

I was just looking at his picture. Looks like a 3rd or 4th generation. Could be wrong though.

I think you meant 8th or 9th generation F-Series. It appears to be a 9th generation (‘92-96) to me but is that same truck with the window problem?

Window motor
I have found 1/4” nuts in place of the pucks that disintegrate in those motors.

First thing I learned from the boys at the Lincoln store
You can fix those disintegrated drives using high side AC caps (the smaller plastic ones)
Save yourself the money for the new drive
Take it apart and cram 3 a/c caps in there
50 cent repair

Caps for the high pressure port on an R-12 a/c system. If I remember correctly, R-134a would be way too big.
