I have an issue with my stock steering in my 55 f100. While making a left turn, it seems to jerk the wheel pretty bad. Turning right I have no problems, just turning left. It is bad enough I quit making long trips to shows because I just did not want to take a chance.
I pulled the steering box apart and did not notice any major problems or wear. I also adjusted it and didn't make much difference either.
Anyone experience this before? I certainly dont want to throw money at it.
Bigjob, I had exact same prob and the guys here helped me narrow it to the draglink. It had a broken spring. Also, steering arm ball was so worn it had become oval. Terry
