Ok, truck interior is almost complete but unable to find what I need for trim behind the doors up and around that enclose the seatbelts? what is it called? where can I find it? NO on LMC….mine is crumbling… thank you for any suggestions...
The only place you are going to find that is a parts truck.
Depending on where you are in WA I know of a few wrecking yards with these year trucks east of Everett
Dang it…I thought that might be the answer…down here most of the wrecking yards that I used to go to are closed/gone…I will do some research up north and see if I can find any…then make a day out of it Thank you for the info…
You might research trim and headliner for 1987-91 too. I think it is all the same trim except for the A pillars which are different at the dashboard ends.
I spotted a '87-91 Lariat at the u-pull and thought its trim would fit in my base '86. I left the yard and returned after the weekend with the tools I'd need only to find the truck had been crushed. So, I never got the chance to fit it.
wow thanks…the interior is all brown and black now…was kinda tan before…will post a pic later today or tomorrow…really appreciate the offer…have a blessed day Headliner is in as of yesterday…black and dark brown…thanks again...
Clean the pieces really good and that vinyl paint they sell in the store sticks very good if you can't find the proper color in the wrecking yard. Do not worry if the paint is a slightly different color, the factory pieces often had slight color differences. Just go out and look at your newer car and truck and you see what I mean.
Thank you…will be working on it tomorrow after I pick it up…any suggestions are appreciated and I will follow through…any brown or black will work well..;
well, good idea but wont work. It is so old when I go to do anything it starts falling apart…one side is crumbling so I will keep searching for replacement parts ..thank you for the suggestion…have a great day
Which pieces are you looking for? The Custom trim level just had a plastic piece that hid the shoulder belt anchor on the B pillar. My Ranger XLT has a piece that covers the entire B pillar. I had an '81 F-100 Custom parts truck. I have the two pieces that just cover the shoulder belt anchor, in black. LMK if you're interested.
Ok so I found out today from my brother that I need Pillar A and Pillar B pieces that are falling apart fiber stuff…the metal part along the back window is good. He suggested I get in touch with Desert Valley auto wreckers…I am waiting for their reply. Thank you so very much for the offer…if they do not have what I need I will get back to you.The new seat covers and the headliner are black , the carpet and door panels are dark brown…contrasting looks good…
Pick n Pull in Arlington has this light tan interior from an brown/tan 1982 F150 -> Not far off of I-5
Headliner trucks have different trims than non headliner trucks.
They seemed to be in good shape.
