I was thinking of getting the dynamax cerma coated headers for my 79 f-150 4wd 400. I was wondering if there good headers, or if there is a better set out there. My goal is to be as loud as possible, and im not worried about emissions or inspection.
I just mounted a set of Dynamax's on my '76 2X4 with a few headaches, prolly about as many as can be expected. I posted it over in the FE engine part of this sight and one of the things I said was that I thought every truck is different. I was pretty impressed with the way the headers danced around things without hitting them though I don't have a lot of access. to get in the way.
I wish I would have gotten the ceramic ones though. The paint I shot on them is already peeling 'cause I didn't prep them right. I used both the gaskets that came with the headers and a copper Mr. Gasket gasket on my 360, take your time removing the old manifold so you don't break any of the bolts. Good Luck.
