Camper Package question

I received my 2024 F350 with Camper Package. What is the Slide-In Camper Certification? I have seen mention of a card, but did not receive a card. Not sure if I should be looking for something.

I've only seen photos, it looks like a piece of paper with loading information on it. If you can't find it or determine that it wasn't included, here is a thread discussing that.

More than a piece of paper

Camper package on SRW trucks includes higher capacity front springs (no brainer) but it also limits what other options/option packages because it requires 18 inch wheels, which rules out Platinum trim or any other option that includes 20 inch wheels.

Or you can spend about $650.00 and install the rear sway bar and + 2 front springs on any trim level you want.
That is all what the Camper Package is to the best of my knowledge.

I have had truck campers in just about every truck I have ever owned since 1980.
None of them ever had a “Certification” to the best I know of.

It just another layer of lawsuit mitigation for the manufacture IMO.

This is what the camper package certificate that comes with the truck looks like. It does have the vehicles vin# on it. Not much to it.

That would depend on the build. All 4x4 350 already come with the auxiliary springs, standard. I'm not familiar enough with 2wd to say one way or another.

I’m thinking of adding the sway bar and then my f350 would be the same as a certified one.

I have the 18 inch wheels. I wonder if the sway bar would make that much of a difference when I go to a 5th wheel

I don’t think so.

a fifth wheel trailer wouldn’t benefit from a sway bar like a slide-in camper does (pretty much required on a slide-in) because most fifth wheel hitches (and all GN hitches) allow the camper to lean even if the truck isn’t.

Sway bars have drawbacks (not always beneficial), mainly in off-road/uneven terrain because they resist letting each tire “reach the ground” and they can harshen the ride on certain rough road situations because they can transfer shock from one side to both sides.

In the description above, the Camper Package is available in various models but not the Limited. I am looking at two 2024 F-350 DRW trucks for sale. One is a Platinum and includes the Camper Package option and the second is a Limited and does not.CAMPER PACKAGE

.HEAVY SERVICE FRONT SUSPENSION

If you look at the 2024 Limited build configuration, the Camper Package is not available. Does the Limited already have that included? Or is there anything about the Limited trim that makes it less capable for overall payload or towing capacity? I plan to be towing a fifth wheel at first, but maybe a truck camper later.

Thanks!

On the SRW trucks you couldn't get camper pkg with Limited because they have 20" wheels, but on a DRW, I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't be compatible. Limited pkg doesn't include anything that the camper pkg includes. Besides option weight, there really isn't anything about the DRW w/Limited that makes it any less capable.
