I am going to buy new floor panels for our '56 Panel. I see that the price varies depending on who is selling them. Does the quality vary or are they all made by the same manufacturer? Thanks.
I was fortunate to live close to Direct Sheetmetal in El Cajon and got spoiled by having such a good resource so nearby. Have you checked for sheet metal shops in your local area? You may want to check with Dave at Direct Sheetmetal and see if he has those floor panels in his catalog.
I had thought about checking with my favorite local metal shop, probably for 16ga sheet metal. They could break all the bends on the edges for me. I think I want to leave the battery under the passenger side floorboard.
I plan to make a trip tomorrow, with measurements in hand, to check on sheetmetal for the floor. I'm thinking about getting the metal broke to include the rocker panels, or just get a lip turned down to attach new rockers. I want to explore the sheetmetal option before we go to Sevierville later in the week. Then I'll know if I need to look for replacement floor panels at the show.
