I have been trying to find wheels for my 79 F150 regular cab with precious little success. After many days of searching on line I found a set of 6" rims as seen HERE. I have a couple of concerns about these wheels as follows.
1 - According to my research allowable offset is in the 14-18MM Range and these wheels are stated to be -3 Offset. Would -3 Offset work or look weird?
2 - I will be running 235-75-15 tires and I question if a 6" rim will be wide enough. Thoughts on that combination??
Where are guys finding rims for their pickups?
Any input to questions or wheel sources would be welcome.
Try searching for Ford Truck rims with 5 on 5.5 235/75/15's are fine, 2wd or 4wd, P/S? Stock rims were 15x5 IIRC... you could definitely step up to a wider 7" or 8" rim, yes the 235's will be fine on the 15x6 rims, personally I like a bigger/wider tire to fill the wheel well, I have 15x8 rims on my 66 F100 w/265/70/15 tires it's 2wd, all my dents are 4wd.
My 77 F150 4x4 factory wheels are 15x5.5". They will be fine for the size tires you are wanting to run. I replaced my wheels with stock style steels in 15x8 so I could put 33x10.50s on it.
Stockton Wheel will make or has in stock just about any width and can widen stock rims.
I think their steel wheels look similar to stock but slightly different.
They don't publish prices so I guess you have to call them.
They have been in business for many years.
