Has anyone used a one wire alternator on their truck? Looking at replacing mine and came upon this video:

My old crusty looking alternator (1999 F-350 dually 7.3) only goes as high as 13.7-13.8VDC and then goes down to 12.5VDC. Just wanted to see if anyone has had experience with one. I don’t really want to get into a higher amp rating, because I don’t feel like running bigger cables to the battery. Here's a link to the one I’m looking into:
Do the attachment to prove what is wrong.
You need to be running 14.1 to about 14.4 or so volts even at idle. If not find out why. Slight variation in voltage for temperature but not much..
