Hardware Override Automatic Engine Stop?
"You can stop the engine shutdown, or reset the timer, at any point before the 30-second countdown has expired by doing any of the following:
• Pressing the brake pedal or accelerator
pedal.
• Pressing the OK or RESET button
during the countdown."
If I put a brick on the brake pedal, will the truck idle until it runs out of fuel?
I had a close call today with my precious cargo (4-legged) after about 2 hours of idling - came back to the truck after 2:15 and the truck was off. Fuel gauge showed a full tank. Fortunately, it wasn't much above 80 in the cab (A/C set to 63) so no harm done but I can't trust the stupid little software switch any more.
I'm looking for a hardware-based, 100% certain solution to this automatic engine stop "feature."

A little more googling found this - BD Diesel's similar one seems to be getting good reviews on various forums: HIGH IDLE CONTROL FORD 6.7L POWER STROKE F-SERIES SUPERDUTY F250 / F350 / F450 / F550 / F600 2023+ | 1036613
I would never leave a pet in a vehicle or RV.

@AZFordLover if you use the Ford Pass app, I'm almost positive there is a way to add time to the idle settings while the truck is running. It's a pain to remember to go in and add time, but I do think it's possible. And, maybe @ZooDad knows of a way to completely disable in ForScan - that would be nice.
