Hello. New to the forum. I bought a 1950 F1 truck last week. Been spending the days cleaning it up a little. Looking forward to learning more about the truck and getting it running. I am on Long Island in NY.

Welcome to FTE the best Ford truck forum on the World wide Web! Any questions you have will be answered here . And you did the first thing we ask for pictures! Thanks.
You say, "I cleaned it up a little." I'll say! Wow! It looks good . Did you paint the rear fenders and paint the bed sides?
Welcome to the forum, Bryan! Nice truck you found. Do you know any of the history on it? I see the production code stamped on your firewall and it appears it was originally a west coast truck, built in Richmond, CA. There's a very lengthy thread here registering serial numbers, looking for the cutoff from 1949 to 50 as Ford just continued the serial string without a defined year break. If you would care to add your truck to the registry, please feel free to add your serial number and the production code from the firewall. We can tell you the color code and build date included in the data.
Bryan, Welcome to a great forum. That's looks to be a great truck to work on. It is awesome to see another F1 being brought back! Looking forward to see more of your progress.
Thanks for this, Bryan. 97HC decodes to 49-50 F1 with the 226 6 cylinder engine. Consecutive unit number 301993. RIC branch code is the Richmond, CA assembly plant. This goes with the RH on the firewall stamp, F1 for F1 half ton pickup, H, color code for Silvertone Gray, 20F is your build date, 20 June, 1950. 3001 is your rotation number, an internal plant tracking code, with no other correlation to the truck.
Welcome, beautiful truck!!! Here you will find all the answers you need and then some! The wealth of knowledge is amazing! Good luck, you are already off to a great start!
Welcome, Bryan. Nice truck There is also a NY Chapter that you can join if you want too. The lettering on the roll back indicates that you got the truck around here. I'm about 10 miles N of Ithaca. Used to live on LI (Baldwin)
Welcome to FTE! Pictures on your first post, great start.
I had to scroll up and down to verify that it was actually the same truck. That cleaned up well.
