Help identify this engine

Help identify this engine

I have an f-1 pick up, I was able to find the numbers on the intake the best I could with my poor eye sight and I made out OKG (maybe) DIAE 9426 and (I think)D8. The carb is a 2 valve motocraft 7-7442. With what I have found I think it's a 351 Windsor 2v. Can someone correct me or decipher this code. I haven't found any info on the block yet.

Trucks been passed down to me and I'm trying to learn what's on it.possibly upgrade some parts since the 70's restomod that's been done.

It hasn't been started since 2016. Besides helping me figure out which Ford motor this is, what do you suggest I do to get her started and running smoothly?

It would be a FE if it were a Cleveland ,Read the link I posted about the number of valve cover bolts..thermostat housing is another indicator too that it is a Windsor..Now you have edited your post...lol
The deck height is higher on the 351 compared to the 302. This is a 351w block, you can see the height where the distributor would go

From your pictures it's impossible to tell anything definite to identify. 351's have a taller deck height, about 1.3", so there's room for the extra stroke. This makes the distance between the heads wider. A 302 intake is about 8.5" wide, a 351 is closer to 11".

Thank you, still learning, sorry for the edit, trying to get the right info, thought my original post wasn't going to get the best response.

Would you in your opinion just get it running and drive it and have fun or be like me and my mind says build it to be a 351c

I looked over the engine again and the valve covers have 3 bolts on the outer sides and one on the opposite side total for both sides is 8. The wikiHow says 8 bolts is a 351. Can anyone confirm?

302 and 351 share the same heads so valve covers and intake will have the same number of bolts . You cannot make a 302 windsor into a 351 cleavland . You can put a stroker kit in a 302 to make it larger , there are a number of different sizes 347 being a very popular one . But first you need to determine what you have . If it's power your after a 302 or 351 can be done up nicely .

Did you measure the width of the intake as I suggested? I'm pretty sure you'll find it to be about 11" making it a 351W. You may also want to take a refresher course in math. There's 6 valve cover bolts on the heads. That's also the correct amount for the Windsor based engines. Throw some gas at it and see what happens. It looks like it'll fire right up. Do go through the pre flight checklist, oil, water, electrical, make sure it turns over by hand, etc.

FYI, you don't just "turn" a Windsor engine into a Cleveland. They are completely different engines. Even though the heads have the same bolt pattern and can physically bolt on, there's a lot of modifications that must be made for them to play well in the sand box, including but not limited to water jacket relocation, different pistons, custom sized intake manifold that is no longer made, and the list goes on for a while. Run what you have and be happy. Those are great engines.

Why are you upset about this?

I got a post that says it’s a 302, you say 351w. I’m trying to narrow it down. If I knew it was a mustang engine, I wouldn’t be asking for help on what this is.

I said I’m still learning. It was just towed to my house.

Look at the water pump to intake bypass hose. 302 hose has one 90 degree bend. 351w hose has two bends. The hose on 351w is longer for deck height.
