1997 E150 Parking Brake Assembly Interchange
Hey guys, I've got a 97 E150 conversion van that I'm trying to get into better shape. One issue I've got is that while the parking brake successfully depresses the brake and stops the vehicle, the pedal doesn't stay engaged. Both myself and my mechanic inspected the lines and think it needs a new assembly. Could I grab one off a newer E150 that has better availability? What years would work? Thank.

2005 onward share a part number. I don’t know if it’s interchangeable for earlier vans.
With other cars, when the pedal ratcheting stop failed in the past, cleaning and liberal lubing got it working again.
