No fuel guage !

No fuel guage !
I just replaced the fuel pump on my 98 F-150 and the fuel guage reads empty. Keep in mind that it was sitting up awhile, and battery went dead. I was removing the post terminals and had to replace them also. Could it be the wrong fuel pump ? It's running fine, but no fuel guage ! Please help !

Hey there, I was replacing the fuel pump and fuel tank on my 2002 F150 5.4, and I had it sitting up as well with the battery disconnected, after the job was done, still sitting up, I started it and there was no fuel gauge and odometer. Truck was running fine. I shut it back off and l let it back down on all 4 wheels. Then the next time I started it, fuel gauge and odometer was back on, could just be a computer thing, try resetting the computer and starting it again
