94- Lightning: Intermittent stall when warm
I have a 1994 F-150 lightning, which ive been in the process of restoring for the past year. truck has had intake manifold gaskets replaced, vacuum system redone, tb and plenum gaskets fixed, and a tune up (plugs, coil, rotor, cap, wires) when I first got the truck. truck has 184k miles. sparks are showing orange color from me using octane booster, and slight fouling. also worth noting yesterday I changed the fuel filter as well. Truck ran fine yesterday as I was making my way to a meet. Ran better than ever, was doing 70 MPH constantly for about an hour, and did the same on the way back, until about I was 5 minutes from home. Truck just died out of nowhere. no warning, no hesitation, just died out of nowhere. I pulled over and tried to restart the engine, and it did, but ran like crap. idle was all over the place. It would idle and stutter and backfire when I gave it gas, until the rpms fell to the point where it would just stall out. I let it sit for about 15 minutes or so while I was trying to diagnose. I tried starting it up again after letting it sit, and it ran fine. I made my way home while I could and as I was pulling in it sputtered and died again. this morning I started it and it ran fine for about 10 minutes, then it started sputtering and hunting for idle about 20 minutes into my commute. throttle response was very delayed. Ive never had this issue before. any ideas??? Sorry for the long story, but I was trying my best to describe my issue. TIA,

Second thing to do is check your fuel pressure, because it sounds like it's running out of fuel. Here's how. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...rd-trucks.html
