help needed

I have a 1985 f-250 which has been burning propane. I am in the process of swiching back to gas and have run into several problems. First, I really need a picture of a correctly wired engine to go by. There are a lot of wires that have been clipped off. Also I bought a two barrel carb at a local auto parts store, and it has what appear to be throttle position sensor . does this need to be hooked up? Do i need to hook up the selonoid which appears to be on the side of the housing? Should I have tried to buy an original equipment carb? As you can probably tell I am not a very good mechanic, but I plan to stay with this project until it is finished. Thanks a lot for helping if you can.

uh the carb you got is for the feedback motor. it will not work for the truck unless you hook up the ecm. you would probably best off by getting one for an early 80's 302, and running it. i am not sure if you have the fed or calif emissions on the truck. you can buy a new ford duraspark kit with the ecm, dist, and wiring from ford motorsports, that and an early carb, you shouldn't have any really problems. the wiring kit only requires two wires to connect, one to a 12v key, and one to the crank refernce wire(on the starter solenoid)..
