6 same codes appear
Hi guys,
After hours and hours of trying to find the issue Im hoping you can give me a direction.
2 days ago, I replaced IPR Orings then went on and drove for 2 hours without an issue.
Day after Im heading out, Truck starts and I drive 2 meters and it stalls. Cant get it to run..
Im pulling these codes, (which none wasnt here before):
P1690 Wastegate Control Valve Malfunction
P0380 Glow Plug Indicator Circuit Malfunction
P0230 Fuel Pump Relay Driver Fail
P0231 Fuel Pump Relay Driver Circuit Failure
P1662 IDM EN Circuit Failure
P0640 Manifold Intake Air Heater
Now since all these pop up, Im guessing some circuit shorting, so Ive started to pull one thing at a time, remove the codes and re-read them. Same six always pops up!
Ive tried:
Unplugged Glow plug relay
Unplugged MIAH
Unplugged IDM
Unplugged Wastegate control valve
& Literally everything in the engine bay that has a connection to the 42pin
Unplugged 42 pin connector, also inspected for damage cant see any, not sure how to test..?
Unplugged Fuel pump, tried FP reset, getting 7v to the wires of the FP but cant read any Voltage as soon as the cables are seated to FP?
Replaced CPS since I had one laying around
No parasitic draw, around 0.5A when off by batteries,
Truck cranks really nice, around 220-240rpm, showing 200psi by ICP (tried with pulled ICP no difference). FP aint running, so there is a obvious problem.
I don't know what to do anymore. What can I check? I got multimeters and cable seeker, Im not very good with the electrics, but Im trying to learn..
Google my *** of, so I appreciate any help you can give me!
Much love,
Filip

I'd suggest 1) check CJB F22 first, then 2) swapping the PCM Power Relay for an identical but non-critical relay (mark them first!!) and see if that changes the symptoms.
Four of the faults will occur if circuit 361 is dead (supplied by CJB fuse F22). However, the PCM is powered through that fuse and it appears to be powering up making it unlikely that fuse is actually open. The IDM circuit gets its power from upstream of F22, directly from the PCM relay. The P0231 is the same circuit as P0230.

I really appreciate you taking the time to answer me and help me out.
I started by checking F22, funny enough it was a 15Amps in the fuse box, tho it was good, changed it out to a 20Amps.
Then I tried another relay from the others and I can clearly hear a click on the PCM relay(Relay 302), so it sounds good. But when I do the same to IDM relay(Relay 303), no click whatsoever. Tried a few different.
I hooked up the multimeter to the lowest point of the IDM Relay, I got power there if I ground it.
I then checked F105, which is supposed to be the IDM Fuse, I got nothing going on there. With the fuse intact! If I use my multimeter, I got Power there if I ground to the chassi. So something is crazy with the ground?
I took apart the cables to clean them out, G100 and G101. Everything looking good. Tho so far, no change in behavior.
Could my culprit be that I lack ground to CJB? Or rather specific slots in the CJB, like the IDM Fuse?
I will continue looking into it tomorrow,
Thx alot!
If I ground out the IDM relay, it then will activate and send power to the idm. But with the same DTC code, P1662.. Still wont start up
Cant find any wiring issues so far.. When I turn Key On, FP will prime as it should for 4 sec. But I still dont get rid of P0230 & P0231.
Only PCM left? Opened it and looks good. Maybe 1 litle brown spot by a micro chip. Burnt something?
Any tips are highly appreciated!
