Are you able to decode everything so i know what is what? What is an E40D transmission? Any idea what rear end ratio? I am more familiar with 53-56 Fords

If you get the Ford Service Manual for that year truck like I did on mine from RockAuto it should have a deal that explains how to decode the vin and gives all the different codes to decode it yourself or any other 89 F or E Series.

thanks for the followup, my computer was being stupid before and would not let me see much more than truck type engine and trans.
i realized i had a bad wireless adapter that was severely limiting connection speed.
switched from wireless after i found a cat 5 wire and went from 30mbps to 300 mbps connection speed.
If you look under the seat you might get lucky and find the build sheet.
I just had my seat out last weekend and pulled the seat apart and recovered mine to find out it has the camper and handling package.
