E-fuel alternative research
Has anyone been following the current research of production of e-fuels for diesel and gas? Read an article in an industry paper at the lounge area of my local Ford dealership here in Okotoks AB the other day, that describes the e-fuel alternative as using carbon captured from air to produce fuel so as to be effectively carbon neutral. Currently it is expensive and requires a considerable amt. of electricity to produce, but apparently production is in a trial stage down in south America - I believe in Chili. The challenge is to bring the production cost down to be competitive with oil based fuels. Was the first time I heard of it. And apparently they also can produce an alternate fuel for gasoline.
