Sapperb Intro from Cali
My name is Bruce. I'm retired Army (Combat Engineer, Sapper) and I currently work for the DoD. I live in the High Dezert of California. I bought a 2000 F250 Super Duty 6.8 back in late 2018. I was looking for something to haul my Dezert Truck. In my spare time I do Off Road Fabrication and welding. I have a fully cage S10 that delivers Fun Miles. I love my Gasser, My V10. I was looking to get a diesel, but I couldn't find any good one's worth money. So, I found this old guy on FB classifieds. I like old guys, because I'm an old guy. He was the original buyer of it back in 2000an kept meticulous care of it. Maintenance was always done and up to date. He used to pull his Toy Hauler and boat with zero issues. So, I went down checked it out and it was like brand new. It only had 130,000 on it. I paid him cash and drove off with it. I instantly feel in love with it. The only issue I didn't like is that it had 16.5" rims....That is the first thing I changed, up to 17". I built a custom (High Dezert Fabrication) light bar for it. I'm also deep into dezert off road racing. I don't race, but I am Pit Boss for my buddy who does, and the V10 is the Chase Truck. I also fabbed up a "Dog house" for the race radio, intercom and Lowrance navigation unit. I will post pictures.. Thanks all for the ability to help me out keeping my V10 healthy.

Next....I cant let the wife see your truck, she'll make me buy some of those grab handles. :0 Cool truck, I have a 99 CC 4x4 V10. My complaints, sucks gas/tank is to small.
k..
Like my V10 too (‘03). I’ve had it 2 1/2 years and has done everything I’ve asked. Just towed my daughter’s Jeep 650 miles yesterday from Sacramento area to Salt Lake City to start the upcoming semester. Put that thing on cruise control and let it eat. (10.5 mpg / 65mph). Not too bad considering the elevation changes.
Look forward to hearing more stories about your time(s) with your V10! 👍
