Help with bed and roll pan.

Newbie here, anyone tell me how to bring the top of the bed back at the tailgate to come in? The gap gets wider as it goes up. I can strap it and bring it together but when I undo thestraps it goes back.
also with a roll pan, there are three holes along the top to screw it to the valance on the bed but do you also weld it along the sides? Thanks in advance.

I got to ask is it the side that are not 90* to the floor or the gate that is off?

If it is the sides when you pull the tops in have you gone past, gate open or off, the needed place it needs to be for the gap to be even?
You should not pull both sides together as 1 side may move and the other not. Not on the truck will be hard to do that.

If that dose not work you will have to look it over and see how the rear sides are attached (spot welded?) and break the welds, pull back where it need to be and weld it back up.

OR

Weld a rod onto the gate to fill in the gap.

On the pan I think you are on your own on how you want to do it.
But I think if you dont want the seams to show on either side weld it as filling with filler will crack over time with bed flex.

I welded on the outer rear sill for my flare side to finish off the the style side floor I made to replace the wood floor.
It was the only way for me to finish off that area as the style sides use the bumper to cover that area.
