VIN NUMBER LOCATION
I have a 1996 F150 XLT, is there a VIN number stamped on the frame? I’ve searched my replacement frame and things are different than my original. Is was sold to me as a 1996 F150 but the rear leaf springs and hangers are different. According to the VIN it was manufactured at a different facility

"replacement frame"? Where did that frame come from?
As OEM there will be a VIN on the frame, and by '96, probably in a couple locations.
This is aimed at older trucks but I'd bet it pretty much the same for your truck.
Is the VIN on the title the same as the one on the certification label? Do you have a VIN in the lower corner of the windshield, driver side?
