New to me Truck

Hey guys, I’m looking at getting a new truck within the coming year, the original thought was a 08-15 f250, not sure of an engine, now I’m looking I’m thinking about a 2015 6.7 roughly.
What I’m here for is I’ve never had a diesel and I don’t think I truly need one, I have a 93 f250 351w and I love it but I think it’s time to replace it. I know a bit about the 6.2s and 6.7s I’ve heard good about both so just looking for advice on what to get.
I plan on pulling a camper, not a 5th wheel but I’m welding and I’ll travel with it so not a welding rig truck but something I can work some, but it will mainly be highways and then just to and from work, right now I have about 50 miles a day. So periodically pulling a camper but not all the time.
Also some boys I work with keep telling me to look at a 6.7 350 instead of 250 so that when pulling I’m working at the mid to low range of a 350 and not the mid to high of a 250.
Another though is what the upkeep cost of a 6.7 vs 6.2 will be and is it worth the extra money.
Any thoughts are appreciated guys, thanks

I drove straight flatbed trucks a lot when in my Teens / 20's.. Gearing is the great choice. A Dually 350 truck is a Bump ..........Bump driver.
A smaller 250 rig is a Bump ..... Bump rig while an F150 is a Bump ,,, Bump rig. That means when turning into some place from the highway.
I would say a Diesel is a good choice if you are towing every day on average / long distances etc. For part time easy runs a gas would be fine.
Trying to pull at 70 MPH speeds burns a lot of fuel. I would caution a Diesel purchase in Winter temps around -10-to-+20-degree nights etc.
Garaging in 50 degree nights would be different. Diesels do not like these Below zero nights much. Of course experience and Diesel starting
Fluid / Glow plugs does help them. But Fuel and problems can get expensive and depressing.

As a farm kid we kept our big diesel in a heated machine shed. Did good but out in the Zero night was a different story.

If I planned to leave every Sunday to go to a Job in The Field of Contracting, I would most likely get the 3.5Turbo with a Tow Gear setup.
The reason is I am not towing all day every day, just to a Jobsite, possibly in the next state. 200 miles or so. Diesel fuel costs ? Future projections ?
