What is your question? I have used Carter water pumps with mixed results. Most have been fine, but I did have one only last a few months before it started leaking - but that can happen with any brand. Most of the water pumps now are made in China. GMB makes a good pump if they have one for your application.
You didn't specify the year Ranger that needs a Carter water pump. So are you wanting to put it on a 1983 Ranger or a 2012 Ranger?
If you want to put the best water pump on your Ranger, buy a genuine Ford water pump with the OEM part number, if you can still source one. And, remember, Ford also sells aftermarket junk that is made in China, Mexico, Brazil or any other source that they can buy it from.
As far as your Carter water pump, odds are it's made in China like just about every other brand out there and they just put their name on it. As noted above, your aftermarket water pump can go 0 to 200,000 miles before you have a failure.
