My project truck came with an 'exposed to the elements for a decade' motor and fairly clean looking trans included.
I'm replacing both in my project.
The motor is scrap metal (I assume due to no oil pan being installed for years).
But I'm wondering if the trans has any value.
I'd hate for it to go to a scrap metal yard if someone could use it.
From searching this forum, I have found its a 352 (4th digit in VIN is 'Y') and the trans code is 'G' for the auto.
Again, from this forum, I've read that's an MX trans. (not a C4 or C6).
So, any advise on value, or off to the scrap yard?
