C700 decode help
C70 = C700 gas
C = 429 4V "Lima" gas V8 (same code for 370 2V but note says "F600 only")
V = Kentucky Truck Plant
EK1981 = 1979 numerical series. Probably late '78 production, about the middle of the run. I don't have the full decoder ring set for '79
11 = 111 inch wheelbase
M = White
C707 = C700 gas, 23,000 lbs GVWR
CB8 = again, no decoder ring for upholstery. Body type is tilt cab, Custom Cab without sleeping compartment, cab and chassis vehicle.
G = Clark model 282VHD five speed direct transmission
GHM
GH = Eaton model 17221 two speed rear axle, 18,500 lbs capacity, 6.50 / 8.86 ratios
M = Ford 7,000 lb capacity front axle with power steering.
Let me know if something doesn't line up. Does this VIN match the title?

unfortunately, the title has been lost, the lady I’m getting it from got it just to use for putting out wildfires on her ranch and never put it in her name so I’m going to do my best to file for bonded title and
get this thing home.
Love the short wheel base and service body. I'm assuming there is a water tank in the middle, If it was mine, I'd find a way to remove that so I had some bed space, but it's nice none the less.
More pictures if you are so inclined, I'm a huge fan of the C series.
