72 new and interesting electrical issue

I rebuilt a 1972 bronco and have been driving it for 3 years now with zero problems.

Last week after doing a wash suddenly the turn signals quit and the brake lights come on with th front parking lights!

The steering column is an Ididit with floor shift. the fuse panel is an American wire all new.

Ideas?

Well sounds like you got some water in the wrong place for sure. Any chance the fuse panel got some water? I would start by checking normal lighting assembly grounds. Like back inside the tail lights.

And was it a pressure washer or hand wash? The pressure washer might of blasted water into a elec connector. Check any areas vehicle joints/seams (that have elec connections behind them) that might of got water blasted.

I know not much to go on, but you can always ask these folks also. https://classicbroncos.com/

Thank you for the ideas on water penetration. I’m sure it is linked to the washing. I’ll start there and see what i can find.

So t/s switch is in the Ididit column and the head light switch is on the inside of the dash. Brake light switch is on the pedal, I can not see water getting in and getting on those switches. Where is your fuse box?

Any sign of water getting past the fresh air vent and making its way to the fuse box?

some water always makes it’s way into the driver side floor but i’ve never had an issue. Also, i did pull the flasher sow itches out of panel to check. There are no signs of moisture there.
