Certainly.
Just using only a couple of the search terms in your post quoted above (EBPV and brake) returned 500 threads in the 1999-2003 7.3L sub-forum. 500 threads is the maximum number of results that the search engine can return, which indicates that there are yet more results. Probably a lot more.
To use FTE's search feature, scroll up and look for FTE's Search Threads feature in the upper right hand corner of this webpage that you are currently reading. Click the little down arrow that is situated in-between Threads and Search Threads. At the bottom of the drop down menu, click Advanced, and enter EBPV brake. Select the 1999-2003 subforum to limit your results to this forum, and select the 1999-2016 forums to broaden your search to include results from the general Super Duty sub-forum that includes this genre.
Entering the same search terms on Google, where Google was limited to searching only the website of Ford-Trucks.com, yielded at least 10 pages of listed results, with 10 unique threads per page on this topic, just on FTE.
Searching Google can be done directly from Google's webpage, or alternatively, through FTE's webpage, by using the same search tool in the upper right hand corner of this webpage, clicking the drop down arrow again, and selecting "Google."
i have it wired up on my truck, was just looking for a schematic to send to a friend.. the one above is too much stuff.. I used a 2 pole 3 position switch and diodes which does the same thing... The other side of the switch I can lock the TQ independent of the EBPV which has come in handy a bunch of time when pulling some steepish grades with RV when you an only got like 25 mph to so due to curves and such.. I can put in 2nd gear get some speed and RPM up to lock the TQ .. that help keep the fluid temps under control.. Wish i had another switch to turn the EBPV on without the TQ locked up.. Sorta like the newer fords and ram cummins engines can do..
Wish i had another switch to turn the EBPV on without the TQ locked up...
That would be pointless.
I speak from experience. The engine is dragged down to an idle (or near it) and there is no effective exhaust braking. In addition, it heats up the ATF on long descents.
