UO422 Code after changing batteries
My truck is a 2012 F-250 Powerstroke and I managed to limp along with the factory batteries until recently. When I finally decided to buy new batteries I took the old ones out one night and then the following day went to the store and bought new ones and turned in the old ones. The reason I say that is to point out my truck was without any power at all over night. So next day I put the new batteries in and while driving it the first time I noticed the Wrench light on. I don't know if it was on when I started it (I didn't notice it but that doesn't mean it wasn't there) or if it came on while I was driving. I have a Banks programmer and I used it to read the code which turned out to be UO422. From my research that seems to be some sort of error related to the body control module. After reading and watching YouTube videos I still don't know where to start outside of taking it to a mechanic. I'd like to figure it out on my own because $ is tight at the moment. It seems to me that because it happened right after the battery change, that has something to do with it but I'm no expert. So I guess my question is- Is my assumption that the battery change likely caused this or that it is related? And if so, what do I do about it? I've checked everything function/feature I can think of and there isn't anything that doesn't work. I've checked all the fuses and they seem to be fine. I've tried to clear the error with my programmer but it just pops back up the next time I start it. I'd appreciate any guidance you might have. Thanks!
