6-disc CD stuck...HELP!

6-disc CD stuck...HELP!

My daughter put one of those 1/2 sized CD's in our excursion 6-disc changer. Now it wont do anything, wont play, wont eject, and doesn't sound like the changer will change slots. The changer won't acknowledge the disc in the slot. Any ideas besides taking it to the shop????

if you're mechanically inclined you may be able to take the changer apart and remove it
this would prolly void any warranty though

It happened on mine too. (03 expy) Took it to the dealer and they replaced the unit.

Well took it to the dealer and they are not going to help out under warrenty, said i should not have stuck it in there, hard to argue. They want 40.00 to pull the unit and send it to a stereo shop who wants another 280.00 to get the disc out...OUCH! I think for 320.00 I will try myself....Anyone ever had one of those 6-disc changers apart?? Any help would be appreciated!
