Is this something you guys would be concerned about? The front axle weight is 300 lbs over max…I had myself and another guy when weighing (550 lbs) in the front seats and a rather large bumper and winch, 55 gallon fuel tank, but that’s pretty much it.
Weights on these trucks are all over the place and can change from year to year without changing any of the components. My stock truck is listed at 5600/7230 (12,830) but the GVWR is 11,500. I changed out the front coils for 5990s. According to the door sticker, I can carry 3,206 but my truck comes in at 9,100 pounds. Even though I added a front bumper and bed cover, they don’t account for the over 800 pounds from what Ford said it weighed before bumper and cover. Not to mention my registration shows an unladen weight of 7,336.
The OP didn't ask about what his springs are rated for - the question asked was is it safe to run with the axle weight 300 lbs. over what the sticker says? Does anyone have data on what DANA says that axle can safely carry? I tried finding it on their web site and everything I clicked took me to some stupid electric drivetrain pages.
The Wikipedia page I looked at says 6,500 lbs. for the rear axle version but it did not cite a reference or source. I found a rating chart on dieselhub.com that says up to 6,500 GAWR but again no citations or sources.

Since they use the same axle across all front ends in the 250 and 350 SRW, I would say he is quite safe. If he is going to worry about it he would need to remove all aftermarket accessories and move on from there.

The safety issue is that the springs in his truck won’t support the weight? He can go up to factory 5990 springs.
I also failed to mention this has a Carli Eventure lift…lifts tremor models maybe an inch and a half. I have at least an inch and a half of rake…which I prefer. I’m having a difficult time finding the load capacity of the front springs. I’ll call them tomorrow.
