What is it?
Under the hood of my 01 SD, nest to the power distro box there is a little black box. I popped the top off and there is 1 Helle relay with a place for another relay. Anybody know what this is for? My manual does not say anything about it.

I am not sure what the front relay is for, but the back one is the one that I had to add in order to have power and brakes at the 7 pin trailer connector at the rear. On mine, the relay was supplied in the glovebox along with the wiring harness for the brake controller and one of those jumbo fuses. Don't remember which was what though -

I was thinking that it had something to do with the trailer brake systems. My truck did not come with the things you mentioned though. I bought it used.
