Does anyone have a picture of the proper bolt that mounts the upper seat to the lower? I looked it up in the assembly manual and the part is 73977-S but the Ford fasteners guide does not have that part number.
How about the screws, I assume they are sheet metal screws, that tighten the clamps around the seat bracket alignment bar, the one with the sprocket on the end. Have a picture of those?
Thanks, now I know what to look for.....can I find it?!
I put the long bar with the sprocket on the end somewhere and can't find that...it's in the garage somewhere,,...If I can find those parts I can get the seat back together...this is going to be the story over and over I think as I am trying to put it back together.
The part you are looking for is NOT a bolt, but a 5/16 x 1 5/8 clevis pin used with a 5/16 washer and 1/16 self locking cotter pin. Available from any extremely well stocked hardware site.
Edit: While I was getting a picture, I was beaten to the punch!

Do you mean these? (Sorry, the phone wanted to focus on everything but the screws)
If so, they look like this:
And this:
(Looks like the phone was more interested in the shop towel than anything)
Ken, you are so quick. Are these pictures on your computer or did you run out to your truck to take these pics?
Two questions:
1. Is that a piece of rusty metal under your seat?
2. Why is there a blue plastic dog dish under your seat?
I've been 15 feet from my truck most of the afternoon/evening.
Answers to two questions:
1. That's the flap that keeps things behind the seat from rolling under the seat. It's not as rusty as it looks. It's painted with red oxide primer and currently very dirty.
2. That's actually a dip tray. I use them for keeping small parts organized:
(Cuckoo clock stuff)
The one under the seat has the dome light/switch and some screws in it.
I can't find the other pin. I am sure I will at some point. I know it is stashed somewhere. In the mean time the hardware stores and auto parts stores don't have 5-16" pins, only 1/4". However, I found a 5/16" nylon bushings that slid over the 1/4" pin and can use that. It fits perfectly. The seat won't move that much that I am worried about it wearing out but easy to replace if it does.
