What is the first year power steering was put on a 1/2 ton pickup.

When is the first year power steering was put on an F250?

That would probably be 65 also, both got the twin I beams that year. The F-350 didn't get I-beams until 67.

Willowbilly is right. 1965 was the first year power steering was used on F-250s and lower, with the Twin-I-Beam suspension.

The Bendix PS box was used exclusively '65 and '66. Sometime in '67, Ford started using their proprietary box (saginaw) as well. The Bendix box was phased out, the last year being used was the '69 or '70 model year.

I am still looking for the elusive bendix box. I have only ever seen one and it was on a 69.
