PCM is not original Would there be differences?
I've been having driveability issues as of late with my 1994 F-150 4.9l 2wd. This is my first post but I've been on here reading a lot of valuable information from you all and I would like to say thank you. From what I have read, the one thing that seems to be standard in driveability issues is, the capacitors leak and damage the PCM. So I pulled mine to have a look and this is what I've got. Is there a big difference between a 94 - 95 PCM. And is this even the correct PCM for my engine, transmission, ignition. Any information will be greatly appreciated.
I've attached a picture of my VIN and calibration. Then pictures of the PCM.
They should both be MAF I think, but there is a chance the 94 is a speed density not a MAF. If thats true, then its ESPECIALLY vital to use the right PCM.
SD-47a is for 6cyl. 1995 and newer are compatible with any and all E4OD.
older 1994 and before eec are not compatible with 1995 and newer trans. It’s all about the diodes, early have diodes in solenoid pack, later have more. EEC

Thank you for the information. My 94 has a map sensor. And yes I do have an e4od. When I get off work this afternoon I'm going to take some pictures of the wire harness. Looks to be that somebody did some splicing and added different colors together. Maybe this was a way for them to try to trick the computer, I don't know. This explains a lot of my issues.
ecm is not original to the truck and it's either junk or not the right one.
My calibration sticker reads:
2-54L-R12. F2AE-6E061-GMF
I need to know which ecm part number goes with this truck thank you in advanced. I'm a newbie I'm hoping I posted in the right place.
