Engine swap?

Hey folks, got a 71 F250 with the ole 360V8 and C6 tranny with the stock 2bbl on top. I have been toying with the idea of maybe swapping in a V10 and tranny combo. Not really needing it to pull or haul, she is retired, or semi retired. The v10 would be more like, just to do it, can't get any worse milage then the 360, also would kinda be interesting. I have been looking at getting a complete truck, or is some cases, a cab and chassis combo or motorhome for the doner. 2nd idea is a 351w and c-6 tranny

thoughts welcome

I don't believe a more modern engine like the Modular Motor V-10 would physically fit in that engine bay.

i have to agree with JWA it's highly doubtful a v10 will fit into a 71,and besides the electronics will be a large nightmare, since the truck is pre emission i'd go with the carbed 351 or even a 460 with a good built C6 trannie,
