I have a 92 ford f150 that i got with a blown e4od tranny. I just spent 2200 on a tranny and now the truck jerks when you are accelerating slowly and at a stop when the brake is on or when the truck is idoling under its own power. The problem is not there when you get on the gas hard or when you are crusing. Could this be torque converter chatter? or is the engine missing. Have have not drove the truck untill now so I have no past experience with how it ran before, but I just took it back over the mountians and it has got progressivly worse. Any Ideas please?
Thanks
If it's the trans.
For $2200 they should fix it right the second time, take it back and have them check it out.
It should not have been given back to you untill it passed the test drive.
If it's the engine.
Take it to the dealer and have them run it for codes and see what you get.
On those computer controlled EFI/E4OD trans models things can get complicated and expensive real fast.
The whole idea is to make them soo complicated you MUST go to the dealer to get it fixed.
