Swapping to 4x4

Swapping to 4x4
How difficult to take the 4x4 running gear from donor extended cab F150 and install into 2WD extended cab F150? Any and all help/suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

It would be easier to swap the bodies as the frames are quite a bit different .Remember the 2wd frame has the oil pan sump in the front and the 4x4 has the sump at the rear to clear the front differential.But all said it is not impossible to convert a 2x4 frame to run a 4x4 setup,they did an article on how to do it in Petersons 4x4 mag a couple of years ago.You can go to there site and look up the month that had the article and buy that backissue from them,at least you used to be able to.A friend of mine chopped the front off a rear wrecked 75 F-250 4x4 crew cab
and welded it to the front of his 74 F-350 SCS after he chopped off the necessary parts up front.As far as I know he has the only F-350 SCS crew cab 4x4 around,and it looks cool.
