bfg mud's in winter weather

i really really really want bfg mud tires, but im worried that they are gonna be crappy on wet and icy pavement, and up here in the northeast we def cant have that. someone said in another post i wrote in the SD forum that i can have them siped. the truth is i just want a really beefy looking tire, i do go offroad but not enough to justify mud tires. i really like the look, and am sick of everyone having bfg AT's. I wanna be differant. let me know what you think.

I think firestone destonation m?t would be wood for your setup, they have the knobby look, but for some reason get good traction on snow and ice. Now there is a trade off there, the better snow and ice handleing, the worse the mud and offroad handling.

the bfg m/t is rated for both mud and snow. you will be fine with them.

the bfg M/t is more of an all terrain tire than the bfg a/t is.

Well, I live in Florida where it doesn't ice much. But we make up for it with rain.

I can tell with that with appropriate common sense applied in literal use the BFG M/T's offer as good a wet road traction as any mud tire on the market.

. . and I am definately NOT a big fan of the BFG tire line.

FWIW.

I am on my second set of BFG M/Ts. I used 32" ones all winter last year and they are fine. They are not excellent, but they are alright. Just gotta watch it on corners, they do great in snow that isn't packed down, but on slushy snow they are alil slippery. Ice they do ok because they have a softer compound then the A/T so they are a little stickier. I am going to start my first winter with 35s and see how they do.
