Use a rubber tire valve < $1. A can of what ever, and your battery, here is alink Poor Man's fuel injector cleaner - PlanetNautique Forums
Rubber tire valve goes over your injector inlet.
Here is a picture, I did it with my injectors, works great.
If you are going to DIY clean the injector, I would blow the fluid backwards. There is a filter inside the injector [should be] and forcing the debris to go through the filter and into the nozzle is probably not a good thing. Reverse flowing should be better. Of course, if you are going to replace those filters, then maybe it does not matter.

I've done this too, but it's hard to aim the straw on the spray can into the injector's pintle. Also, for this to be effective, the injector has to actually open.
Start with compressed air, if the injectors pass that then no need to go any further with a cleaning seeing as they are "like new". With the motor trying to run on starter fluid the next thing I would look at is fuel pressure at the rail, have you checked that?
FYI, I bought Deka 80s for my 351, because if I upgrade to a turbo I’m set. 60s might not be enough, I’m a fan of doing it once and done.
i have full tune capabilities and putting in injector data is key, as well as MAF data.
I kept mine as SD.
since you don’t have a tune, you’d be best to go with quarter horse for DIY or pimp possibly less learning curve.
Either way, you need a tune, and need to verify your eec pin out and wiring harness is correct.
