1997 ford ranger 4.0 OHV. Initial issue was misfire so that’s when I replaced rocker arms pushrods and lifters. After I replaced those that’s when Oil pressure gauge read below L, I’ve replaced the oil pump and replaced the sender unit and pick up tube . I completely tore down the engine and cleared all oil ports of any debris and sludge. I’ve replaced the rocker arms, lifters, push rods. I’ve replaced everything except the camshaft and the cam shaft bushings. When I use my mechanical pressure gauge it’s reading 90 psi. What’s could’ve caused high oil pressure?

Reason: Missing information
What oil weight? What temperature? What RPM? Have you tried a different gauge, to be sure?
How many parts did you change for low oil pressure before you noticed that it was now high?
Have you examined the oil filter and filter bypass port? The oil pump pushes oil through the filter and there is a spring-loaded bypass port that opens if the filter gets clogged. I'd check the filter and the bypass. I haven't seen the 4.0's but usally it's a check ball or plug with a spring behind it.
