Wheel Bearings?
The service guide for our '98 Ranger 4x4 shows a service interval for front wheel bearings listed as "4x2 only." Are there bearings that need to be packed on the four wheel drive, and, if so, how often?

Your front wheel bearings are a "cartridge style" arrangement incorporating both the wheel bearings and front hubs that is . . strongly disliked, by virtually everyone but Ford parts salesmen.
I believe that by design they "never need servicing". In the real world, you are looking at $600.00 - $700.00 to have them both "serviced".
I HATE the 98 4x4 Ranger . . that I love so much !!
