I've got a 2006 F250 6.0. The clutch fan will kick on for a few seconds when i start the truck but then it wont come on again when the truck gets hot. Or the few times it does come on when the truck is hot, it only stays on the literally 3 seconds and the temps keep climbing. I hit 250 oil and 245 water temp and the fan wouldn't come on at all. I pulled over to let it idle for a bit and when i took off again the fan came on for 3 seconds again and that was it until the next time i pulled over. This is a brand new clutch fan, and the fan before did the same thing. Truck is custom tuned and i asked the tuner if they could have the fan come on sooner. At this point it seems like something wrong on the truck but not sure where to start. I've been searching the net but haven't found this same issue. Any help would be much appreciated.

The wiring is pretty prone to damage. I’m pretty sure it can be commanded on with troubleshooting tools like ForScan. Head on over to the 6.0 section of the forum and post your question over there. You’ll definitely get more traffic in that section.
