noisy 302
Well the old red 93 f150 302 4x4 supercab, 115,000 mi. has been running a little rough lately. Just recently a knocking sound was evident. New cat, Changed plugs and the end of the No. 2 plug was gone! Still runs ok though. Bad mileage, about 12 mpg. Probably needs a new engine. What's my best bet. Run till it blows? Jasper? How much? Installer? Love my truck even though it's not worth anything in it's present condition. Hate to put too much into it, but can't really replace it without $$$$. Love to have a new Lariat -- later. I appreciate any advice.

Well I wouldent personally run it any longer till I found out what was making the noise. My Friends did the wrapping trick a while back and truned out just to be rod bearings, a pain to do but saves the hassle of a motor. good luck.
