I've own both a 99f25, v-10 and 2002 excursion v-10 and love them both. I would rather drive the xcursion though, much smoother ride. Try the rancho shocks on it, much, much better ride than stock shocks, well worth the money.

But they managed to make a bunch of new yuppie luxury options available. Great. When it comes with a back scrubbing shower maybe Ford will realize they're trying to make a car out of a truck. Meanwhile, I'm keeping my 2000.
I have owned Ford cars and trucks all my life. My last truck was an F350 SD crew cab 4X4 dually with the automatic trans. I put 130,000 miles on it in 2 years and loved every minute of it. I totalled the truck and replaced it with a 2001 Excursion Limited, also a diesel, and would not trade this truck for anything else. I tow regularly and usually exceed 13.6 mpg with 7-8000 lbs at 70 mph. It is quieter than the pickup was and rides nicer. I just don't need a pickup bed any more, and with its 10,000 lb towing capacity, I can pretty much tow anything I like. I replaced that ugly grille, added KC 165 watt lights on a grille guard, and I have 23,000 extremely happy miles on it. I would put my excursion up against any SUV out there. Nothing beats it.
2 people in my office said they heard reports on the radio that Ford isnt producing a 2002 Excursion. Anyone else have any info on this?
Thanks
Bill B. in NY
I know for a fact Ford isn't producing a 2002 Excursion.
Stewart, if you call a Ford dealer and let them know you're serious about the 2002 X they might change their mind and continue to make it!
Sure, it wouldn't be so hard!
All they would need to do is collect all of the original steel forms for sheetmetal, frame components, engine parts, original interior fabrics, etc. They could temporarily tear out everything from one of their truck plants, install the 2002 equipment, build Stewart's truck, and, well, put everything back again...
Hmm...
Stewart, would you settle for a 2017 Super Duty with a cap?
Friend of mine AT the Ford factory says, NOPE! they have stopped making them, won't be any more, dealers have no inventory left either, he checked that as well.
