Updating my 51 and can not bring myself to spending hundreds on wiper motor kit. Currently have 2 wiper motors and work off of 2 different switches.
Anyone have ideas or donor vehicle to get an assembly from to simplify this?

I went thru several iterations of stock electric and aftermarket setups. With the stock pivots, you can only get a full sweep by using the factory electric setup. Ultimately I went with the Dennis C. replacement, with their pivots, and it is excellent. Not cheap, but it works when you need it. Their pivots are greatly improved, too. I have the Newport and don't like it; the sweep is just a tad too much for the OEM arms, so I had to disconnect the passenger wiper arm for it to work. Told Newport about it but they are positive that their motor is correct. So I want to replace it.
The reason the New Port retrofit kit doesn't work is due to the geometry of the arms on the pivots. Their motor tries to pull at an angle that causes distress. I talked to them at length and got nowhere.

I went ahead and purchased this one from Dennis Carpenter, they got them back in stock.
Took a few hours to install it. Took the seat out; I'm getting too old to cram myself over the pedals and between the seat and firewall. First, my cowl holes were a little too far apart, so I had to file the openings a little. Then the passenger side linkage rubbed as it stroked that way; I assume that my cowl was a little bit twisted, which twisted the linkage enough to hit itself. So I ground the 2 overlapping parts down a bit, then put it back together.
No hitting, nice and smooth. Installed the defrost vents and ducts; passenger side hit that now. Took the vent out and reset the angle of the steel tube assembled it, installed it. Then pulled it out to adjust it again.
Got that perfect, then tried to install the switch. And guess what...it was too long to clear the aftermarket gauge cluster. So I clipped the male connectors on the switch to about 1/8", drilled a hole through each one, and soldered leads to each. Checked the fit, got plenty of clearance, so I crimped male connectors to the leads, made the connections to the harness from the motor, and heat shrinked each connection. Glued a piece of rubber to the body of the gauge cluster just in case there was any contact and got it all installed.
Put my wipers on and tested it.
Put the seat in and started driving.
This unit runs quieter and wayyyy smoother than the Newport unit. And it was actually about the same price as the Newport unit. I would highly recommend the DC assembly to anyone.
