2005 60/40 rear bench, onto an e99 full bench. Only reason im considering is to get the rear headrests, since one kid is already tall enough amd another will be soon, where the headrest is an actual safety plus, imo.

Is there another question in the post?
The answer to the question in the thread title is yes. A 2005 rear seat will bolt up to a 1999 cab. Look at the cab floor from underneath the truck, and you will see that there are already bosses for intermediate mounting bolts welded to the cab floor. Those bosses will align with newer model year seats that are split configured.
Have them wear this. No headrest required. Works with 3-point seatbelts. May break your rear glass on the backlash though.
You stirred a memory; had a '65 F250 that I swapped in a '64 Lincoln 430 engine/trans. When it came time to sell I told the guy to ease into the throttle. Sure enough as he and his wife and kid drove off he hit the pedal too hard and BAM all 3 heads hit the back glass.
