Yea you can....
As long as the cab is titled (or the door, depends on if they had cab vins then... not sure.)
But you can swap out a full cab on a 66 and just use your door or door tag and its the same truck
Nobody really checks for chassis ID # unless its a vehicle being sold "all original" or show car or something

Sure you can !!
Take both titles down to the DMV office and ask for a hybrid.
They may ask for documentation of the . . joining. I would call the DMV and ask first - though I am sure you can do it.
. . unless you live on the left coast.

you can, but I'm not sure of the legality of switching VIN tags
every cop, DMV, etc. I've ever seen do any checking, just went by the VIN on the dash
you could pull the windshields, drill out the rivets, and put your old VIN on the new cab, but I don't know if this is legal or not

Andy, I'm pretty sure from at least as far back as the 70's the VIN number has been etched into the frame as well.
. . but I wouldn't bet my boots on it.
