1978 460 pistons cam timing ECT...
Looking to rebuild 1978 Lincoln 460 on a budget.Engine was running hot
Did good on Dyno.head gasket blew.Have felpro gasket kit.After pulling heads got a look.The old cam gear was dipped in rubber.Engine is full of rubber pieces.I like to run propane at 2.69 /gallon.To do it right compression ratio must come up.This motor needs rebuilt ,2 psi oil pressure at idle.Will be running propane exclusively.This motor never had the power my 1971 429 had.It was 10.5 to 1 any recommendations on what pistons to use.Cant spend a lot on this motor.To make good use of propane and possible stock parts rock auto are there any options for Pistons.looking to bore .020 after micrometer checking

build a 460 on a budget may not be possible, last one i built had 2k just in parts, machine shop work added another 1500 , felpro gaskets personally i tend to shy away from, victor , mahle or best is all i use.
